St Matthews

In Week 8 and 10 Room 5 went to st matts were they taught us a P.E [physical Education].

In week 8 it was raining so we went into the gymnasium and played bench ball.

In week 10 it was sunny and they had the high jump mats out so we played tee ball but when u get to a base u have to jump on it.

Today we had the end of term BIG pride draw . Well done to George from room 6 for the junior prize, he won a sponge bob scooter.Well done to Douglas from room 11 for the senior prize,he won a razor scooter COOL!!!

MIS variety show

On tuesday Douglas Park seniors walked to MIS for a variety show it was awesome.

There was singing Michael Jackson moves and more it was so fun that we were talking about it all the way back to school.

MARBLING

we have started a new topic in art marbling. you chose 3 colours and put 3 drops on to a dot that is in a tray of water then you mix the colours together being careful that you don't go to fast you can still see what colours you had then you put your piece of paper on to the water and then you pull the peice of paper out wala all done!!!!!

Next week on Friday Dps is having a jump jam competion the houses are RUTHERFORD , SHEPPERD , BATTEN and HILLARY and they are going face to face for a big prize............... we will report next week on who won?

P.D.O Person

the person who has been nominated from our class and gets to be the p.d.o person is Ashlee in room 5. she and some other kids will be able to have a fun day with Mr Brown. they are going to be watching a movie and enjoying junk food this will be a fun treat for the p.d.o people who deserve being there. it will be happening over tuesday and monday, tuesday for the kowhai and Wednsday for the kahikatea.
