Room 5 arguments

Douglas park school needs a heated swimming pool
heated swimming pools are warm and you don't get cold. A heated swimming pool has warm water in it . A heated swimming pool lets us swim all year round .
Firstly Douglas Park School should have a heated swimming pool because more students will swim without complaining that it is to cold or that they want to get out just after they had gotten in.
secondly students will not lie to their teachers and say that they have forgotten their togs.
Thirdly we could go swimming in the rain and it will still be warm .
I strongly believe Douglas Park School should have a heated swimming pool because it will be warm,and we could hold a triathlon at any time of the year.we can have races with more kids because they will not get cold and we will swim all year round which will make us all better swimmers.

Ripa Rugby

The DPS ripa rugby team is going on wednesday to the ripa rugby tournment so good luck to them!

natural resources/water

Since term two we have been learning about natural resources. This term we have been concentrating on water.

So far we've have been learning about the water cycle, here's a diagram to show you the cycle:



In the next few weeks we'll be thinking more about water as a natural resource and how we use it.

INGREDIENTS
Cone
Candy
Large cupcake
Frosting
Little cupcake
Sprinkles

STEPS
1 : Fill half the cone with candy.
2 : Get your large cupcake and put frosting on the top and put it upside down into the cone
3 : Put the icing on the bottom of the large cupcake and then grab the little cupcake and put it on the icing flat side down
4 : Put frosting all around the cupcakes so it looks like a soft serve ice-cream
5 : Sprinkle the sprinkles on the frosting
This will make you smile when you it eat!

P.D.O is back and its better that ever. The kowhai goes outside school and goes to pohutakawa playhouse.The kahikatea go outside school and go to master bowl and have hamburgers for lunch.The person from room 5 that won it is kendyl congratulations.
